As the Kaberle deadline comes, teams are rushing in offers to leaf g.m Brian Burke. Rumors have it that the Ducks are showing interest in Kabby and a deal could get made. If were to put myself in Bob Murray's shoes I would get a trade done. If that is sending Bobby Ryan to the leafs for kaberle and a prospect I would pull that trigger. If Ryan wont sign that 5 year deal then I can very much think Murray would trade him. As we all wait to see if the Ducks will sign Paul Karyia. I very much think he will sign with the Ducks after the Ducks and Leafs made that trade. In this one trade and sign the Ducks team would improve a lot. The defense would of gotten better with the present of kabby helping the young defense of the Ducks. If Ryan were to be traded then the first line would include Lupel, Getzlaf, and Perry. The second line would look like this if they did the signing. Karyia, Koivu, and Selanne. Jason Blake would of course be put on the third line. If Anaheim has the money left they should then turn to free agency and sign defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron to help build the defense for the season. If prospect Cam Fowler is ready for the season to play as a Duck then I believe the Ducks would have a good defense, good forwards, and a good solid goalie in Jonas Hiller. Bob Murray just needs to do those little things and he would have a good team and a team fans would want to see. Everyone would love to see that second line put together. Time will tell If Murray will pull the trigger on a Bobby Ryan trade. I'm going out and saying he needs to do it if he wants to save the future of the team.
